What areas do you serve?
We typically serve the Utah Valley and Salt Lake Valley areas.  Characters travel for FREE within a 20 mile radius of their location.  If you require travel further than that, a small fee for mileage will be charged.  We are happy to travel! Just let us know what you require.

How far in advance should I book my party?
We recommend 4-6 weeks in advance for most characters.  We will do our best to accommodate last minute requests, although you may have to be flexible on the character request.

What happens if you don't have a character that I want at my party?
If you let us know with enough time, we will do our best to accommodate your request.   Don't hesitate to contact us with questions.  We can create nearly any character given enough time.

How do I book my party?
Email is the easiest way to book a party.  Send an email to characterbooking@gmail.com answering the following questions:
  • What is the requested date of your party?
  • What is the requested time you would like your character to arrive?
  • Are you flexible on the date/time? How flexible?
  • Which party package would you like to book (15 minute visit, 60 minute party, etc.)?
  • What is the location of the party (exact address necessary)?
  • What is the venue of your party (home, church building, pool, etc.)?
  • What are the directions to the location (if it is hard to find)?
  • What character would you like to book?
    • If that character is not available, what is your second choice?
  • What is the nature of the event (Wedding, Birthday Party, Corporate Party, etc.)?
  • How many people will be invited?
  • IF Birthday Party, what is the age of the birthday celebrator?
  • IF Birthday Party, what is the name of the birthday celebrator?
  • Is there any special information we need to know (is this intended to be a surprise, will there be guests with special needs, etc.)?
  • Your name and telephone number in case we need to reach you
How do I know that I have secured my party?
After we receive your payment, we will send you a confirmation email repeating to you the specifics you requested in your email, or a phone call. A few days before the party, you should be contacted by your character to confirm those specifics as well.

How do I pay for my party?
The easiest way to pay for the party is to pay through PayPal.  After we have secured your character, we will send you the information to do this.  If this method does not work for you, you can mail a check to us. Contact us for mailing information.

Should I tip my character, and how much?
If you feel that your character has done a good job, tipping is appreciated and accepted.   As for how much, 10-20% is a normal amount, in most cases.  If your character has exceeded expectations, please let them know.

Where should I hold my party?
It is recommended that the party is held close to home, if not at home.  If the party is too far away, the guests will find it difficult to travel.  If the party cannot be held at home, any recreation center, park, church facility, clubhouse, etc.  Please plan for inclement weather.  Also, please respect the characters and their costumes and do not hold parties at places that will be difficult for them to maintain their dignity.  We need to be informed of special venues so that we can plan ahead with you in order to accommodate your needs.  (Example, we are supportive of having a Mermaid party by the pool, or Spiderman party at a climbing gym. We need to be aware of these circumstances so we can plan with you to determine the best fit for your party needs.)

Do the characters travel?
Of course! All of the characters travel for free within a 20 mile radius of their location.  Further than that, though we will charge a small fee for mileage ($0.55 per mile).  Some characters may be available to fit long-distance travel needs.  Contact us and we will try to work something out.  We are willing to travel to the following areas: Utah County (Provo, Orem, Springville, Mapleton, Eagle Mountain, American Fork, Spanish Fork, Saratoga Springs, Lehi, Lindon, etc.), Salt Lake County (Alta, Bluffdale, Cottonwood Heights, Draper, Herriman, Holladay, Midvale, Murray, Riverton, Sandy, Salt Lake City, North Salt Lake, South Jordan, West Jordan, West Valley, Taylorsville, Kearns, Magna, Milcreek, etc.)  Davis County (Bountiful, Centerville, Clearfield, Clinton, Wodds Cross, West Point, Farmington, Fruit Heights, Kaysville, Layton, South Weber, Sunset, Syracuse, etc.)  And many more! Just ask!

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my party?
If you cancel or reschedule your party ten days in advance, we will make a reasonable attempt to reschedule, although a different character may have to be used.  If rescheduling cannot occur, you will receive the cost of your character refunded to you.  The $30 booking fee is non-refundable.  If the party is canceled with shorter notice, we will again make a reasonable attempt to reschedule, but will not issue a refund if rescheduling is not possible.

Why are all of the character costs so different?
Due to the nature of the characters, some costumes are more intricate and difficult than others.  For that reason, some characters are more expensive than others.  Many costumes require a few hours to fully prepare.  Some characters also require a helper to meet them nearby the party to help them change.  These people time and costs are covered by the additional fee.

If I invite more characters to my party will I get a discount?
We are willing to work out special circumstances.  Email us at characterbooking@gmail.com for more information.

Is the booking fee refundable?
The booking fee is nonrefundable.  However, if we fail to deliver your party based on a no-show character or problem on OUR part, we will do our best to either reschedule or issue you a refund you the cost of the party and booking fee.  Please understand that we require a safe environment for our characters.  If, for any reason, our characters arrive and feel unsafe at the environment provided, they have the right to leave.  They will notify us, and we will discuss the situation afterwards.  A refund may be offered, though it is possible that in some situations, there will be no refund.

When do you do parties?
Most parties are generally booked on Friday or Saturday, though any other day or time is acceptable.
